No, this is not exactly a light drawing hour intended for therapy and release.
This is a thorough and comprehensive course where you learn the basics of drawing so that you can continue to develop from there in the best way.
You will acquire knowledge and tools so that you can draw pictures and figures in a convincing and correct way.
Suitable for whoever has a background with painting, but there is no need to come with previous knowledge. The main thing is to come with a love for drawing, an open mind, and a willingness to invest the necessary effort!

The course is intended for women and girls 15+ who are attracted to the field and are looking for a place with serious and in-depth study, a place offering practice and guidance to gain knowledge and master techniques!
Who is it for?
The course provides professional tools to anyone who likes to draw and wants to see results and quality, as well as those who want to make a living from the field. Among the graduates of the course there are well-known illustrators of books and newspapers, oil painters for galleries, painters of murals, Judaica artists, drawing teachers, graphic artists, etc. The course provides knowledge mandatory to engage in the field. All practice is done in pencil
(computer illustration or other techniques require a separate course).

In the course you will acquire tools to draw correctly starting from the source: how to give the drawing the illusion of a real and accurate object. You will learn the perception of proportions, rules of perspective, lighting, and anatomy. The course is taught entirely in pencil drawing, in order to focus on the basics and not get carried away by techniques.
In the first year, we learn the basics of drawing; and in the second year, we focus on figure drawing. In each lesson we will move forward to the next level with a deep analysis of the reality around us.

Lighting (ten levels of lighting)
Building complex objects - as a basis for drawing figures.

Shall I introduce myself?
I, Tzippora Nussbaum, live in Jerusalem. I have been painting and teaching art for over 20 years. I have taught in seminars, training courses, colleges and, of course, my private art center. I specialize in figure drawing and portraits. I see it as a mission to help those with talent and love for art to succeed in drawing correctly and without frustration.
I work with galleries, institutions that order paintings from me for donors, and private clients who want to commemorate their loved ones. I have exhibited in many exhibitions including: the Knesset, the President's House, the Mayor's Office, the Jerusalem Municipality, the Heichel Shlomo Museum and the Jerusalem Theater. I have made exhibitions in New Jersey and Chicago, and my paintings are exhibited in galleries and private collections.
I gave a TED talk from the point of view of an artist and a researcher. I have a B.Ed. degree in teaching art and have studied under renowned artists such as 'Gadi Pollack' and others.
Is it possible to learn drawing in an online course?
The truth is that until this year, I didn't think it was possible. I have always advocated that to learn manual drawing you need physical presence. But this past year I taught a group of English speaking women. One of them returned abroad and it was decided to try to continue the studies in ZOOM. It worked so well and the students achieved amazing results. I realized that it is possible!
For this you need discipline and consistency in practice.
The class is conducted live (via zoom) with a work review (sent in advance), a new unit of learning material and instructions for further practice.
Since this is a new program, most of the classes will be live.

The structure of the online lessons:
Critical review of home work and review of last week’s material
Presentation and explanation of new material, accompanied by slide show of illustrations and art books
Each student receives organized and summarized materials for continued practice at home
Guidance for the next lesson and explanation of the tasks
There are 32 meetings a year, for the duration of two years. (a total of 64 meetings)
Each student leaves at the end of the course with an organized folder of exercises, explanations and illustrations, plus a personal certificate from me!
